AIMS OF THE FOUNDATION

That the Child is central to education, consisting of the following:

Intellectual Education                        Core subjects, English, Maths, Science.

Inventiveness -                                 Technology, Engineering, Industry.

Societal Awareness -                        Human Values, Conflict Resolution.

Ecological Awareness -                    Sustainable Living, Global Responsibility.

Physical Well-being -                        Nutrition, Yoga, Martial Arts, Dance, Excercise.

Emotional Well-being -                     Energy Work, Healing Modalities.

Spiritual Well-being -                        Awareness of Self & Others.

Mental Well-being -                          Mind Power, healthy conceptualisation.

All Medium Artistic Developement -  Music theories linked with nature, biology & colour.

Research -                                        Sustainable Scientific Exploration, System Challenging.

 

     To provide a learning environment in which knowledge gained from experience is applied with responsibility and                 awareness.  

     To encourage/foster compassionate disposition toward that Self and others.

That the young people who move through this school are equipped with personal, social and life skills to enable them to be at the helm of their own life.

To embrace the needs of children who have been labelled as 'dis-ordered' because they don't fit into the systems.

To facilitate inventiveness, solution finding, creativity, discovery and joy of life.

To ensure literacy and numeracy competence at the pace of the child without comparing to others, in order that no subsequent area of learning be prohibitive.

Honour the children as sovereign, responsible unto themselves and nurture who they are.

Nurture, by extending human qualities such as humour and non-judgementalism and above all, love in action.

To provide a loving, safe place of learning.

That each child may be given the opportunity to cultivate a direct relationship with the world around them, based on compassion and mutual acknowledgement.

To equip the children with life tools. Honouring their choices made relative to their natural talents and dexterity's.

To encourage confidence and self-reliance in life skills, including cooking, housekeeping, budget management, building and transport maintenance.

That the school be inter-connected with other facilities of a similar nature, including local initiatives.

To facilitate chosen future occupations, be they exam or apprenticeship orientated.

That the school demonstrates extended family - loving, wholesome relationships beyond the nuclear family.
